Marc soon contacted me via Twitter and suggested talking on Skype, which i wasn’t really able to do whilst at work, but as I knew it would be a fairly quick conversation I decided to head over to TinyChat to start up a room.

To cut a long story short, the Contact Form issue was user error on my part in that I hadn’t properly read the readme (The moral of this story is definitely RTFM) – so that’s now working fine.

What happened next though came as a bit of a surprise. When Marc joined the chat, TinyChat was tweeting the link to the room so it was filling up with people from Twitter quite rapidly. Seeing as my HashOne issue had been resolved I decided to leave the chat before I got sucked in and carried on with my Friday afternoon of work.

When I saw the link to the chat room again in twitter some 20 minutes later I decided to have another look and almost spat out my coffee. What I didn’t realise about the TinyChat site was that it now has the capability to display multiple webcams at once – a la video conferencing. Extremely impressive for what I thought was just a simple web based chat room!

What surprised me even more was there were a few very familiar faces staring back at me from TinyChat, namely Chad Engle (@chadengle) and Chris Spooner (@chrisspooner).

I didn’t spend too long chatting as I wasn’t able to use my Mic and thus found it difficult to get heard (although you can see me top left) but suffice to say I was very impressed with TinyChat and I’ll certainly be looking at the “Embed on your website” feature very soon!
